This product reduces the engine intake air pressure and simulates a drop in engine output at high altitudes. The compact body is equipped with a pressure regulating mechanism that can follow the driving mode and is easy to move and install. Contributes to cost and time savings for high altitude testing in research and development.

- Emission evaluation when driving in mode
Advantages of this product
This product reduces the engine intake air pressure and easily simulates the reduction in engine output at high altitudes where the air is thin on a chassis dynamo or engine bench. This makes it possible to reduce to a minimum the actual vehicle tests at high altitudes that were previously conducted, contributing to reductions in development costs and time.
Altitude 4500m & maximum flow rate 13500L/min
It is possible to reduce the intake air pressure of the engine to -40kPa (approximately 60kPa atmospheric pressure), which corresponds to an altitude of 4500m. The air flow range covers up to 13500L/min (101.3kPa, converted at 20°C) and supports a wide range of vehicle models.
*If the airtightness on the engine intake side is low, it may not be possible to reduce the pressure even within the pressure adjustment range.
*Please contact us for changes in pressure (altitude) and flow range.
Compatible with mode driving
When the engine is stopped, the pressure is reduced by the built-in ejector, and when the flow rate changes, the highly responsive pressure regulating valve and large-capacity chamber suppress pressure fluctuations, allowing mode driving while maintaining the target pressure.
Compact design
The compact body can be installed not only on the chassis dynamo but also on the engine bench.
Easy operation
The operation unit can be placed on a desk and is equipped with a touch panel. Simply set the target pressure and press the operation start button to automatically control the intake pressure. In addition, the serial communication (RS-232C) function is standard equipment. Automatic operation and data acquisition can be performed by external control from the engine control panel.
Consideration for Safety
As an explosion-proof measure, electric parts such as motors are placed at a height of 600 mm or more from the floor. In the event of a power outage, the opening of the pressure regulation valve is maintained to prevent engine stalls and sudden increases in output.

composition
This product consists of an operation part, a control part, a pressure regulating valve, a chamber, a pressure gauge, and an ejector. (Filter, flow meter, connection duct, and external pressure gauge are optional)
motions
During engine operation, the target pressure is maintained by controlling the angle of the pressure regulating valve. When the engine is stopped, such as when the engine is idling, the ejector (vacuum generator) is operated to maintain the target pressure. The chamber functions as a buffer tank that suppresses pressure fluctuations. Pressure control using the signal of an external pressure gauge is also possible.
Applications
Pressure stability
(Pressure adjustment simulation result based on set pressure -20kPa, actual measurement of engine intake/exhaust flow rate)
WLTC mode driving
A stable decompression state is reproduced even during idling stop or acceleration/deceleration.
Racing
It can also follow sudden flow rate fluctuations and maintain a decompressed state.
